Skupinka čtyř mladých lidí jede jednoho večera autem za zábavou. Uprostřed místních lesů však mají nehodu. Protože je tma a vůz je úplně zničený, rozhodnou se večer přečkat v lesích. U ohniště si začnou dlouhou chvíli krátit vyprávěním strašidelných příběhů o nebezpečném zabijákovi s protézou, o vraždící nestvůře žijící uprostřed hlubokých lesů, o nebezpečném pedofilovi, který chce zavraždit mladou dívku, s níž se seznámil přes počítač a o mladém motorkáři, který se zamiluje do ducha mrtvé dívky, kterou zavraždil její vlastní otec. Ovšem to nejstrašnější má teprve přijít.
