Auf dieser Erkenntnis basiert die turbulente Psycho-Komödie "Der Couch-Trip" von Michael Ritchie aus dem Jahr 1988. Als Ersatz für den erkrankten Therapeuten Dr. Maitlin, der im Radio als Ratgeber in Sachen Sex auftritt, engagiert der Sender versehentlich den entflohenen Insassen einer geschlossenen Anstalt. George Burns - alias Dr. Baird - kommt bei den Hörern bestens an, denn er ist ein Freund einer ziemlich deutlichen Aussprache. Etwas blümerant wird seine Lage jedoch, als Dr. Maitlin seinen Stellvertreter kennen lernen möchte und obendrein der echte Dr. Baird auftaucht. Und dann ist da ja auch noch der Öko-Freak und Baumanbeter Donald Becker, der einzige, der Georges wahre Identität kennt.
