Nach den Ereignissen des ersten Teils erwacht Kirsty Cotton in einer psychiatrischen Klinik, die von Dr. Philip Channard geführt wird. Dieser will die Geheimnisse des Würfels und der Zenobiten ergründen, denen er seit Jahren nachforscht. Aus diesem Grund opfert er einen seiner Patienten an die Zenobiten, den er an jene Matratze bindet, auf welcher einst Julia Cotton starb.
