Περιγραφή

Μια μικρή παραλιακή πόλη του Ντόρσετ, το Μπρόουντσερτς, συγκλονίζεται από τον θάνατο ενός εντεκάχρονου αγοριού του Ντάνι Λάτιμερ. Την υπόθεση αναλαμβάνει να ερευνήσει ο Επιθεωρητής Άλεκ Χάρντυ, ένας ξένος για την πόλη, ένας αστυνομικός που ήρθε μάλλον για να ξεφύγει από τα φαντάσματα του παρελθόντος. Στην έρευνά του, βοηθός του είναι η Αρχιφύλακας Έλλι Μίλλερ, της οποίας ο γιος ήταν στενός φίλος με το αγόρι που χάθηκε. Όταν τελικά η αστυνομία αποφαίνεται ότι ο θάνατος του αγοριού είναι δολοφονία η πόλη γίνεται το επίκεντρο των ΜΜΕ και αρχίζουν να ξεδιπλώνονται μυστικά που μέχρι εκείνη την στιγμή ήταν καλά κρυμμένα.

When I see something with a rating this high, I think that it must be one of the most groundbreaking and innovative shows in decades. That it must be something thats going to change the game and influence generations of television and film. I think of The Sopranos or something similar. But this is literally nothing more than a formulaic, made for television police procedural. Apparently, David Tennant being in something makes it a stunning masterpiece. I cant ever remember the public fawning over someone so average. Its like viewers see a nice looking shot of scenery and think that because the scenery looks good, somehow the show must be good. Thats not how it works. Dont get duped by slow motion and gimmicky camera tricks. But, most importantly, there is nothing new here. Nothing innovative going on in this show. One can find a million murder mystery television episodes. Just because this is stretched into the multi-episode netflix format doesnt make it any different.
