Η μητέρα της Liz Ortecho, άφησε το Roswell πριν από 10 χρόνια μετά το θάνατο της αγαπημένης της αδερφής Rosa. Όταν όμως ξαναπάει η Liz, επανασυνδέεται με τον Max Evans, τον εφηβικό της έρωτα, ο οποίος είναι τώρα αστυνομικός στο Roswell. Η χημεία τους είναι αμέσως ηλεκτρική. Αλλά η Liz σύντομα ανακαλύπτει μια συγκλονιστική αλήθεια ότι ο Max είναι μάλλον ένας εξωγήινος που έχει υπερφυσικές ικανότητές, της οποίες έχει κρατήσει κρυμμένες σε όλη του τη ζωή. Καθώς οι δύο μεγάλωσαν μαζί μέχρι και πριν από μια δεκαετία, η Liz δυσκολεύεται να κρατήσει την αλήθεια από την καλύτερη φίλη της, τη Μαρία Ντε Λούκα.

It has only been 20 years since Roswell was a sleeper hit on the WB, so I guess I didnt think we needed a re-boot. It hadnt occurred to me just like I never thought we needed another version of K-Mart, but Wal-Mart seems pretty popular. Back to the show, so even though it wasnt on my list of TV projects to make if I ran Hollywood, I am so happy they did. Even though the story might not always seem fresh, it is apparently a story I love and NEVER get tired of. It seems we should always have sexy aliens from outer space on TV. It is also surprisingly easy to care about alien orphans who are just trying to survive on their new home world. I have no issues with the cast. They are an interesting collection of guest stars and supporting actors who are getting their chance at stardom. At the heart of the story, there is also romance, another aspect that is always popular with TV viewers. In this case, the lovers are separated by their shared history, misunderstandings, hostile family members, and other external forces. Will their love survive? Will they get together? All these elements are successfully woven together in Roswell, New Mexico. The creative team has done their part so now the viewers just need to show up so we can enjoy this show for at least the next five years.

This reboot was just as good as the original. It even had a nod to the decade that the original show was, AND guest starred one of the original cast members (which I only realised in the last episode of season 2)! Though while the setting sees the characters as adults rather than teens in highschool, it did retain the elements of science fiction, drama and mystery.
