As a filmmaker, Evans short film Woman X was shortlisted for a BAFTA award and was shown on HBO and Starz. His other short film that he wrote and starred in Cloud Nine was a Skky Vodka Short Film Festival finalist and was seen on HBO. His debut feature film as a writer / director In a Day played numerous festivals and won various awards. After a theatrical run in Los Angeles, In a Day was picked up for distribution by IFC Films. It was also sold to territories worldwide.In a Day was also seen on the Sundance Channel and Netflix.
