Zunächst gelingt ihr - zusammen mit ihrem Geliebten Charles - die Flucht aus dem Etablissement, doch als Charles Familie sich gegen ihre Liebe stellt, steht sie mittellos auf der Straße. Zuerst wird sie die Mätresse eines schwerreichen, mysteriösen Mannes, doch als diese "Beziehung" zerbricht, landet sie erneut im Bordell. Hier entwickelt sie ansehnliche erotische Künste und erfreut sich bald größter Beliebtheit, vor allem bei älteren Kunden. Obwohl ihr die "Arbeit" durchaus gefällt, vergisst sie jedoch nie ihren geliebten Charles. Als ihr schließlich ein älterer Stammkunde sein beträchtliches Vermögen hinterlässt, kommt Fanny zur Räson. Sie verlässt das Bordell und macht sich auf die Suche nach ihrer großen Liebe.
