Gracias a una emboscada perpetrada por su banda, el peligroso Billy Bucklin consigue escapar durante su traslado a la cárcel de Yuma. Durante la fuga, el bandolero intenta a ayudar a que John McKay, otro prisionero, consiga su libertad, pero éste se niega.
