Narra la historia de Cashier Hua (Casanova Wong), un peleador que deberá pedir ayuda a su amigo Fei Chun (Sammo Hung Kam-Bo) para que éste convenza a su maestro Mr. Tsang (Leung Kar-Yan), a que le enseñe el arte del Wing Chun. Así podrá hacer frente a una banda de asesinos que andan molestando a la población y también para vengarse de la muerte de su madre. Pero nuestro héroe no lo tendrá nada fácil, pues el líder de la banda de asesinos (Fung Hak-On) es un Maestro de la Mantis Religiosa.
