Cuando una terrible tormenta de nieve corta la carretera más próxima, Jason, un novato de la policía montada del estado de Colorado, se queda tirado con un extraño grupo de viajeros en el Last Stop, un motel restaurante dirigido por dos viejos amigos, Maggie y Fritz Dietrich. Lo que empieza como una molesta rutina, pronto se vuelve una pesadilla cuando Jason y Fritz encuentran los cadáveres de unos recién casados, que llevaban el botín que había sido robado de un banco de Vail un par de días antes.
