En 1969, on décide d'envoyer un chien nommé Buddy dans l'espace. Un accident survient pendant le voyage qui le transforme en superhéros... après 50 ans de congélation. Lorsque Star revient, il constate que dans ce monde futuriste, les gens de la Terre ont cessé d'aimer les animaux. Il part donc à la recherche d'un super-acolyte pour remédier à la situation. Il fait alors la connaissance de Félix alias Turbo. Ensemble, ils vont créer la GARDA, un organisme qui protège les animaux de la Terre.
