Bumbo et Owl sont deux escrocs de haut vol qui veulent prendre leur retraite. Le premier veut se consacrer à sa salle d'aérobic et l'autre veut couler des jours heureux dans sa splendide villa. Mais ce n'est pas l'avis d'un inspecteur qui va les utiliser (par le biais d'un honteux chantage) pour appâter un dangereux criminel. Il va donc les faire embaucher dans une association de réinsertion qui essaie d'éduquer des jeunes désœuvrés dont les profs ont du mal à les canaliser. Heureusement, les deux nouveaux compères sont pour veiller au grain et ré-dynamiser une équipe pédagogique qui en avait besoin.
