On the first day of April 2004, a rumour emerges that Hong Kongs most influential triad organization is planning to assassinate the new Commissioner of Police, who will take charge in 30 days. Three unrelated policemen, Fung Chi Wai (Criminal Investigation Division), Wong Ka Fai (chief of Criminal Investigation Bureau) and undercover Yeung Kai Dong find themselves implicated.
