Ralph Lamb wants to be left in peace to run his ranch, but Las Vegas is now swelling with outsiders and corruption which are intruding on his simple life. Recalling Lambs command as a military police officer during World War II, the Mayor appeals to his sense of duty to look into a murder of a casino worker – and so begins Lamb’s clash with Vincent Savino, a ruthless Chicago gangster who plans to make Vegas his own.

How this show didnt go further than one season is beyond me. Do TV execs just not know good TV when they have it or what? Two perfect main characters. Cowboys vs gangsters. Las Vegas in its childhood. A perfect blend of action and drama. With characters you become attached to, even the bad guys. Gorgeously colourful sets and backdrops with perfectly period costumes and props. And the whole time youre asking yourself Is this how it really happened? Did I mention I really like this show?
