Joël Barbouth, born October 22, 1937 in Paris where he died October 17, 2013, is a French actor. He is the father of Galaxie Barbouth.Joël Barbouth is known for his supporting roles from 1963 to 2010, and sometimes leading roles as in La Fille den face (1968) by Jean-Daniel Simon alongside Roman Polanski and Marika Green or Salut les amis (1967) by Jean-Pierre Bastid. He played twice with the director Philippe Garrel in Liberté, la nuit in 1984, then Le Cœurphantom in 1996) as well as with Philippe Galland in LExercice du politique in 1978 and in Merci mon chien in 1997. In 1982, it was filmed by Gérard Courant for his film anthology Cinématon. It is number 240 of this collection. He also does theater, notably in the play Le Visiteur by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt in 1993 at the Petit Théâtre de Paris in a production by Gérard Vergez.He died in Paris on October 17, 2013.
