Comandante a bordi di navi cargo per il trasporto dei container, Marco Silvestri è richiamato urgentemente a Parigi. La sorella Sandra è disperata: suo marito si è suicidato, l'azienda di famiglia è sull'orlo della bancarotta e sua figlia ha bisogno di cure psichiatriche.
