Dopo aver assistito alla barbara uccisione della moglie e della figlia, Il poliziotto John Hebron (Cuba Gooding Jr.) si ritrova a dover accudire la fidanzata e la sorella di cinque anni di un giovane spacciatore, assassinato all’interno della chiesa di padre Porter (Christian Slater) da Arment (Kim Coates), capo dell’organizzazione che controlla il traffico di droga e alla ricerca di una statua della Vergine Maria contenente chili di eroina.
