실화를 바탕으로 한 이 4 부작 드라마는 2007 년 리버풀 크록스 테스에서 11 세의 리스 존스가 살해 된 이야기를 다룬다. 축구와 에버턴 팀을 사랑하던 리스는 축구 연습 후 귀가하던 길에 우연히 총상을 맞아 죽게 된다. 경찰국은 이 사건을 특급 살인으로 지정하고 데이브 켈리 경정에게 지휘권을 주어 수사를 시작한다.
