Opis

Dwaj kowboje, Chris Foster (Audie Murphy) i Bert Pickett (Charles Drake), zostają aresztowani za udział w bójce. Nieopodal granicy z Meksykiem przyjaciołom udaje się jednak uciec wraz z grupą innych przewożonych więźniów. Zbiegom przewodzi bezwzględny kryminalista, Lavalle (Harold J. Stone). Wkrótce on i jego szajka rabują dwanaście tysięcy dolarów w papierach wartościowych. Foster i Pickett usiłują je przejąć, jednak Lavalle łapie ich na gorącym uczynku. Podczas gdy Chris zostaje zatrzymany jako zakładnik, Bert jedzie do miasta, aby tam spieniężyć papiery. Zdobytą fortunę kowboj przekazuje byłej narzeczonej Estelle (Kathleen Crowley). Zadaniem odzyskania łupu zostaje obarczony Foster.
