Louis Velle, born May 29, 1926 in Paris, is a French actor. Trained at the Conservatoire and at the Cours Simon, he has been married since 1949 to the writer, director and actress Frédérique Hébrard, with whom he had three children Catherine, Nicolas and François, director and screenwriter. If he began his career in the cinema, it was through television that he would rise to fame. Still quite discreet in LAbonné de la ligne U (1964), the 1970s brought him a certain notoriety with La Demoiselle dAvignon, LHomme qui retour de loin and also Docteur Caraïbes. We can also mention The Strange Monsieur Duvallier (1979). A few years later, Louis Velle is still very present on the small screen with The Ambassadors Husband. But, if he shines on TV, the cinema also appeals to him he is resplendent in The Drivers License. But also in A husband, he is a husband of which he shares the star with his wife Frédérique Hébrard. Active in the cinema, on television and in the theatre, Louis Velle has also signed several plays and written books, some of which in collaboration with his wife. He remains one of the most popular television actors to this day.He died February 2, 2023 at 96
