1980’lerin soğuk savaş döneminde Romanya hükümeti Comrade Detective adında ülkenin en popüler ve uzun soluklu dizisini yaratır. Bu polisiye dizi izleyenlere keyif vermesinin yanı sıra derin milliyetçiliğe ilham vererek Komunist ideallere de teşvik etmektedir.
