Acorn TV联手Channel 5制作罪案剧《达格利什 Dalgliesh》，《福斯特医生》的Bertie Carvel饰演标题人物。首季共6集，2集一个故事，12月份将在北爱尔兰开始制作。 　　本剧由全女性团队打造，改编自P. D. James(图2)的系列小说《Inspector Dalgliesh Mysteries》，将会追溯Dalgliesh从上世纪七十年代的英格兰一直到如今打击犯罪的职业生涯，每个故事都会聚焦他破解一桩不寻常的凶案，发生在不同的地点，有不同的客串人物。 　　首季的3个故事将分别改编自：《Shroud for a Nightingale》，一名实习护士的死亡；《The Black Tower》，对一间异常的残疾人之家的调查；《A Taste for Death》，一名无家可归的养老金领取者和一名内阁大臣被发现死在一间教堂里。 　　原著共14本，首次出版于1962年，最后一本出版于2008年。该系列曾被多次改编搬上校荧幕。

I tend to give British mystery series a try just because so many of them are excellent. So I gave Dalgliesh a look. It is a fine show. The lead character is quiet and somewhat withdrawn due to a tragedy in his life a year earlier. I didn’t immediately take to him as I have with other detective team leaders like Vera or even DCI Banks. He came across at times as indecisive or passive. His assistant is a real jerk and hurt the investigation through his petty selfishness, but except for glaring at him at one point, Dalgliesh seemed unable to take control. Suspects and witnesses also showed no respect for him during interviews and conversations. Some of this weakness or passive attitude might seem exaggerated, however, again due to his dealing with his ongoing grief. And Dalgliesh may well grow on me, so if the show is extended for another season I will give it another look.
