C'est l'histoire de Learoyd, un ancien officier de l'armée américaine qui, après avoir déserté pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale se retrouve le roi d'une tribu de Borneo, se créant ainsi son propre royaume, indépendant et possédant sa propre puissance.
